2014 Econ. Forum details announced

East Valley Partnership’s 2014 Cox Communications Economic Forum will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa in Downtown Mesa.

Keynote remarks will be provide by author and USA Today columnist Steve Strauss. A regional and national economic forecast will be provided by Nathaniel Karp, Chief U.S. Economist of BBVA Group.

The 2014 Excel Awards will be presented to Chancellor Rufus Glasper of Maricopa Community College District, and Dignity Health.

2014 SRP Forum to feature gubernatorial candidates on economic development issues

Details were announced this week for the 2014 SRP Forum event, an annual collaboration between East Valley Partnership and SRP to stimulate thought about how we grow and collaborate for the betterment of our area and state.

This year’s Forum event will feature two of the final candidates for Governor of Arizona, as determined by the August 26 primary election. The final Democratic and Republican candidates will join us on Wednesday, September 10 at Chandler Center for the Arts to discuss economic development issues facing our state.

EVP extends its appreciation to long-time title sponsor SRP, as well as The Arizona Republic & Channel 12-KPNX, who will moderate and broadcast the program.

EVP Annual Membership meeting to honor co-founder Chuck Wahlheim

The East Valley Partnership’s Annual Board and Membership meeting will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014. All board members, general members, and potential members are encouraged to attend. We extend appreciation to our Title Sponsor, CopperPoint Mutual Insurance Company, as well as our Location Host, East Valley Institute of Technology.

This year’s event will feature a Celebration of Life honoring EVP co-founder Chuck Wahlheim (1932-2014).

Event registration will begin at 3:00 PM, with a networking reception immediately following. The event program will begin at 4:00 PM with an update on partnership activities, election of board directors and officers for the 2014-15 year, and the Celebration of Life honoring Chuck Wahlheim.
